Brain implant aims to loosen Stroke's grip on muscles

Summary
This study tests if deep brain stimulation (DBS) can help reduce muscle stiffness and improve movement in people who had a stroke 9 to 36 months ago. Twelve participants will have an electrode implanted in the cerebellum and try three different stimulation frequencies during rehabilitation. The goal is to find the best frequency for treating post-stroke spasticity.
