Stem cell study seeks clues to broken heart syndrome recovery

NCT ID NCT07604467

First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a type of stem cell (CD34+) helps the heart heal in people with Takotsubo syndrome, also known as broken heart syndrome. Researchers will measure heart function in 40 adults at the start and after 6 months. The goal is to understand the link between these cells and heart recovery, not to test a new treatment.
