First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This early study tests a new treatment called CD19 CAR-T cell therapy for people with severe autoimmune diseases like lupus, Sjogren's syndrome, and scleroderma that haven't improved with standard treatments. The therapy uses a patient's own immune cells, modified to target and destroy faulty immune cells causing the disease. The main goals are to check safety and find the right dose, with 20 adults expected to participate.
