Summary
This early-phase trial tests a new treatment called CD123-CAR T cells for children and young adults (up to age 21) with certain types of leukemia or related blood cancers that have come back or not responded to standard therapy. The treatment involves collecting the patient's own immune cells (or a donor's), modifying them to recognize and attack cancer cells, and giving them back after a short course of chemotherapy. The main goal is to find the safest dose and to see if the cells can reduce or eliminate the cancer.
