Can therapy help people afraid to eat due to stomach pain?
NCT ID NCT05587127
Summary
This study is testing a special type of talk therapy for adults who have chronic stomach pain (functional dyspepsia) and have developed a fear of eating, leading to significant weight loss. Researchers want to see if eight weekly video therapy sessions can help people feel more comfortable eating again and improve their stomach symptoms and quality of life. The therapy is compared to the participants' usual medical care.
