Summary

This study is testing whether adding cannabidiol (CBD) to standard care helps people with severe alcohol use disorder stay alcohol-free after they leave a detox program. 210 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either a placebo or one of two CBD doses for 11 days during inpatient treatment. The main goal is to see if more people in the CBD groups remain completely abstinent from alcohol one month after leaving the hospital.

SEVERE ALCOHOL USE DISORDER (DSM 5)
