First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This early-phase study at Yale University tested whether a single dose of cannabidiol (CBD) could change brain inflammation and pain sensitivity in 28 healthy adults. Researchers used brain scans to measure inflammation and a capsaicin (chili pepper) cream to test pain response. The study did not aim to treat any disease, but to understand how CBD works in the human brain.
