Smokers' lung health: could a 40-Point quiz predict trouble?

NCT ID NCT06644456

First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at 90 adult smokers with breathing issues to see if a simple questionnaire called the CAT score could detect early airway problems before COPD develops. Participants filled out the CAT survey, did a 6-minute walk test, and had their height and weight measured. The goal was to find a link between higher CAT scores (worse symptoms) and reduced lung function, which could help catch lung damage earlier.
