Researchers seek better dosing for sick kids on antifungal drug

Summary

This study aims to understand how the antifungal drug caspofungin is processed by the bodies of critically ill children. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood of 60 children in intensive care who are receiving the drug for severe fungal infections. The goal is to see if current recommended doses are effective for children with serious conditions like liver problems or sepsis.
