Tablet games vs cartoons: which better eases Kids' fear of needles?

NCT ID NCT06371599

Summary

This study tested whether playing a game or watching cartoons on a tablet is more effective at reducing pain and fear in children getting an IV. Researchers worked with 64 children aged 6-9 years, randomly assigning them to either play a game or watch a cartoon for 3 minutes before and during the procedure. The goal was to find a simple, non-medical way to make a common hospital experience less stressful for kids.
