Tablets to the rescue: cartoons or games for a less scary needle?
NCT ID NCT06371599
Summary
This study tested whether playing a game or watching a cartoon on a tablet was better at reducing pain and fear in children aged 6-9 years during the placement of an IV needle. Researchers compared the two distraction methods in 64 children at a hospital. The goal was to find a simple, effective way to make a common medical procedure less distressing for kids.
