First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This observational study at Stanford University looks at how the amount of carotenoids (natural pigments) in your skin might be linked to immune health and aging. Researchers will measure skin carotenoid levels and compare them with signs of skin aging, blood markers of aging, and how healthy participants feel. The study involves 40 healthy adults, split into two age groups: 18-30 years old and 65 years or older.
