NCT ID NCT05722002

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study compares two common pain medicine combinations after low-risk surgeries like gallbladder removal, hernia repair, or breast lump removal. About 900 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) plus acetaminophen (Tylenol) or low-dose opioids plus acetaminophen. The goal is to see which option provides better pain relief with fewer side effects.
