NCT ID NCT05434195
First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at why some pregnant women develop high blood pressure (pre-eclampsia) and whether a nutritional supplement called 5-MTHF can improve blood vessel health. Researchers will measure levels of a molecule called BH4 in mothers and their babies, and use ultrasound to check heart and blood vessel function. About 128 women with and without pre-eclampsia will take part to help understand how BH4 affects this condition.
