Personal coach helps seniors rebuild strength after heart events
NCT ID NCT03922529
Summary
This study tested a special coaching program designed to help older adults (age 70+) recover after a heart-related hospitalization. The program provided personalized guidance to help participants start and stick with cardiac rehabilitation, which includes exercise and lifestyle changes. Researchers compared the coaching program to usual care to see if it improved participants' mobility, daily activity, and overall recovery.
