New hope for brain cancer: engineered immune cells target tumors

Summary
This early-phase study tests a new type of immune cell therapy (CAR T cells) designed to target a protein called MMP2 found on glioblastoma brain tumors that have returned or worsened. The main goals are to find the safest dose and understand side effects. About 19 participants with recurrent or progressive glioblastoma will receive these specially engineered cells.
