Scientists test re-engineered immune cells to fight tough head and neck cancers

NCT ID NCT06096038

Summary

This study is testing a new type of treatment called CAR-T cell therapy for adults with head and neck cancer that has come back or stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors will take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better target the cancer, and then infuse them back into the patient after a short course of chemotherapy. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see how well the body tolerates this experimental therapy.
