Pill-Sized camera could replace painful biopsies for esophagus disease
NCT ID NCT03546660
Summary
This study aimed to test a new swallowable capsule with a tiny camera to take pictures inside the esophagus. The goal was to see if it could diagnose conditions like eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) as well as the current standard method, which requires sedation and multiple biopsies. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
