Summary
This study tests whether a dietary supplement called capsinoid, found in sweet peppers and chilies, can activate brown fat in obese teenagers. Brown fat is a type of body fat that burns energy to produce heat, which may help with weight control. The study will involve 38 adolescents aged 11 to 18 who will take the supplement along with dietary guidance, and researchers will measure changes in brown fat activity using a thermal camera.
