New hope for advanced breast cancer: drug combo aims to delay next treatment

Summary
This study tests a combination of two drugs, capivasertib and fulvestrant, in people with a certain type of advanced breast cancer (HR+/HER2-) that has gotten worse after standard hormone therapy and a CDK4/6 inhibitor. The goal is to see how long it takes before patients need another cancer treatment. About 101 adults in Spain will take part. This is not a cure, but aims to control the disease longer.
