NCT ID NCT04816994
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 43 times
Summary
This study tests whether a cannabis oil containing THC and CBD can reduce sudden, sharp back pain from a pinched nerve and lower the need for strong painkillers. About 200 adults with severe pain lasting less than 12 weeks will receive either cannabis oil or a placebo, and their pain and opioid use will be tracked for 24 hours. The goal is to see if cannabis offers a safer, effective option for managing acute radicular pain.
