Scientists scan Veterans' brains to see how cannabis fights PTSD
NCT ID NCT07222306
Summary
This study uses brain scans to understand how cannabis affects brain inflammation and activity in veterans with PTSD. Up to 100 veterans will have scans before and after 12 weeks of cannabis treatment to see how their brains change. Researchers hope to link these brain changes to improvements in PTSD symptoms and suicidal thoughts, helping identify which veterans might benefit most from cannabis-based treatments.
