First-Ever brain scans reveal how cannabis may help Veterans' PTSD

NCT ID NCT07222306

Summary

This study uses brain scans to understand how cannabis affects brain inflammation and function in veterans with PTSD. Up to 100 veterans will receive brain imaging before and after 12 weeks of cannabis treatment to see how their brains change. Researchers hope to link these brain changes to improvements in PTSD symptoms, suicidal thoughts, and quality of life to identify who might benefit most from cannabis-based treatments.
