First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study uses brain imaging to explore how cannabis affects inflammation and brain activity in U.S. military veterans with PTSD. Up to 100 veterans will have brain scans before and after 12 weeks of cannabis treatment. The goal is to link brain changes to improvements in PTSD symptoms, suicidal thoughts, and quality of life, which could help personalize cannabis-based treatments for veterans.
