First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at how different types of cannabis affect the brains of U.S. military veterans with PTSD. Up to 100 veterans will get brain scans before and after 12 weeks of using cannabis. The goal is to see changes in brain inflammation, communication, and activity linked to thinking and emotions. Results may help identify which veterans benefit most from cannabis-based treatments.
