NCT ID NCT07574827
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study is looking at how common a fungus called Candida albicans is in Syrian adults with gum disease (periodontitis). Researchers will check mouth samples from 100 patients to see if the fungus is linked to more severe gum problems. The goal is to better understand the role of Candida in oral health, not to test a new treatment.
