Could treating cancer also cure a blood disorder?
NCT ID NCT06444477
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people with cancer also develop a condition called immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), which causes dangerously low platelet counts and bleeding risk. Researchers analyzed medical records from 33 adults who had both ITP and cancer to see if treating the cancer led to improvement in the ITP. The goal was to gather knowledge to better understand and manage these linked conditions in the future.
