New scan could spot hidden tumors

NCT ID NCT03164486

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new radioactive tracer called 18F-αvβ6-BP to see if it can safely and effectively highlight cancers in the breast, colon, lung, pancreas, and related metastases. About 27 adults with these cancers will receive the tracer and undergo PET scans. The goal is to check for side effects and measure how well the tracer accumulates in tumors, potentially improving cancer detection.
