Can a simple booklet help families ask the right questions about cancer?
NCT ID NCT02854293
Summary
This study tested whether giving a booklet with example questions to patients with advanced cancer or their families before a palliative care meeting would change what they ask their doctors. Researchers wanted to see if the booklet helped people get more or different information about their prognosis and care. They measured the number of questions asked, anxiety levels, and satisfaction with the information received.
