Scientists track deadly blood clots in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT03826043

Summary

This study aimed to better understand and track blood clots in people with cancer, as clots are a leading cause of death for them. Researchers observed 700 hospitalized cancer patients, some already on blood thinners, to see how often clots occurred and how they affected survival. The goal was to gather information to help guide future treatment decisions for this high-risk group.
