Can fixing sidewalks and parks help stop cancer?

NCT ID NCT06864260

Summary

This study is testing whether improving neighborhood conditions can help prevent cancer in high-poverty communities. Researchers are working with 300 Black residents in specific Alabama areas to add things like better lighting, sidewalks, parks, and community events. The goal is to see if these changes reduce stress, increase physical activity and cancer screenings, and ultimately lower the community's overall cancer risk.
