New therapy aims to ease the mental trauma of advanced ovarian cancer

NCT ID NCT07286162

Summary

This study is testing whether a specialized talk therapy can help reduce traumatic stress symptoms in women with advanced ovarian cancer. Researchers will compare the therapy, called CALM-TF, to the usual standard of care. About 300 women will be randomly assigned to receive either 3-6 therapy sessions or continue with their regular medical care, and their stress, depression, and quality of life will be tracked for 6 months.
