First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a single dose of calcium gluconate before a C-section can reduce blood loss in pregnant patients at high risk for heavy bleeding. About 140 participants will receive either calcium or a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple, safe treatment can prevent dangerous bleeding and the need for transfusions.
