Can your morning coffee or baking soda boost your gym session?
NCT ID NCT06714331
Summary
This small, early-stage study aimed to see if taking caffeine or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) right before a workout helps people perform better during weight training. Twelve healthy, active adults who regularly lift weights and drink caffeine tried both supplements and a placebo. Researchers measured if they could do more repetitions, how fast they moved, and their muscle fatigue during bench press and leg exercises.
