Can your morning coffee or baking soda boost your gym session?
NCT ID NCT06714331
Summary
This small, early study aimed to see if taking caffeine or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) right before a workout helps people do more repetitions during weight training. Researchers tested 12 healthy, active adults who regularly lift weights. Participants tried each supplement and a placebo on different days to compare their performance on exercises like bench press and leg extensions.
