Cadaver lab could make dry needling safer for patients

NCT ID NCT06845969

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether physiotherapists who practice dry needling can improve their needle placement accuracy and safety by reviewing anatomy on donated bodies (cadavers). Sixty physiotherapists will be split into two groups: one gets a cadaver anatomy class, the other gets unrelated online education. Researchers will measure how close they get to the right spot and how far they stay from risky areas like lungs.
