Summary

This study tests whether buspirone, a medication used for anxiety, can reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings in people with opioid use disorder. About 100 adults will stay in a clinic for 10-12 days while their opioid dose is slowly reduced. The goal is to see if buspirone makes the detox process more comfortable and helps people transition to long-term treatment.
