First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at how a new type of spinal cord stimulation, called burst stimulation, helps reduce chronic pain. Twelve people with long-term back and leg pain who were already scheduled to try this treatment took part. Researchers compared the burst stimulation to a sham (fake) treatment to better understand its specific effects on pain.
