New burst of hope for chronic pain sufferers?

Summary
This study tests a new way to stimulate the brain (called Burst-DBS) to see if it can better reduce chronic pain after a stroke or from nerve damage in the face. About 20 adults will try both the new and standard stimulation patterns to compare which works better. The goal is to find a more effective treatment for people living with long-term pain.
