First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether injecting a local anesthetic (bupivacaine) at the incision sites and vaginal cuff can reduce pain after laparoscopic hysterectomy. About 120 women having the surgery for non-cancer reasons will be randomly assigned to receive the injection or standard care. Pain levels will be measured over 24 hours to see if the injection improves recovery.
