NCT ID NCT06730217

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to help older adults in the hospital clear mucus from their lungs. One method uses a machine that gently blows air in and then sucks it out to mimic a strong cough. The other is a hands-on chest therapy done by a physical therapist. The goal is to see which works better for improving cough strength and breathing in people aged 60 and older.
