Summary
This study aims to understand how different non-invasive breathing support methods affect the lungs of patients with acute respiratory failure. Researchers will compare three common support types—high-flow oxygen, pressure support ventilation, and constant positive airway pressure—using a special imaging technique to see how air moves inside the lungs. The goal is to learn which method best reduces uneven air distribution, a problem that can further strain damaged lungs.
