Trial tests gentler breathing aid for dangerous lung clots
NCT ID NCT07381712
Summary
This study compares two non-invasive methods to help patients with pulmonary embolism (lung clots) breathe better. It tests whether a high-flow nasal cannula (gentle, humidified oxygen) works as well as or better than non-invasive ventilation (a mask with pressure) at helping patients breathe on their own within 48 hours. The goal is to find the safest and most effective way to support breathing in this serious condition.
