Scientists track breathing decline in muscle disease patients
NCT ID NCT03764150
Summary
This study aimed to understand why people with myotonic dystrophy develop breathing problems during sleep. Researchers followed 113 adult patients over 5 years, measuring their breathing, sleepiness, fatigue, and thinking skills. The goal was to identify which factors predict a decline in nighttime breathing, which could help doctors monitor patients better.
