Five-Year hunt for clues to deadly breathing decline in muscle disease
NCT ID NCT03764150
Summary
This study followed 113 adults with myotonic dystrophy for five years to understand why some develop serious breathing problems. Researchers tracked changes in breathing tests, sleepiness, fatigue, and thinking skills to identify early warning signs. The goal was to learn which patients are most at risk so doctors can monitor them more closely.
