Simple breathing drill boosts lung power in stroke patients

NCT ID NCT07577076

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a specific breathing exercise using a hand-held bag (air stacking) could help stroke patients improve their lung function and trunk control. Twenty stroke survivors took part in a 4-week program, with one group doing the special breathing exercise and the other doing standard breathing exercises. The goal was to see if the air stacking technique offered extra benefits for breathing and core stability.
