Scientists sniff for diabetes clues in daily breath patterns
NCT ID NCT05984979
Summary
This study aims to understand if the chemicals in a person's exhaled breath change in a daily pattern and if these patterns differ between people without diabetes, with type 1 diabetes, and with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will recruit 60 participants to provide breath samples during the day. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about these breath chemicals and see if they relate to blood sugar levels or gut bacteria, not to test a new treatment.
