First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study aims to improve a non-invasive breath test for stomach and esophageal cancers. Researchers will collect breath samples from 6,000 adults referred for suspected cancer to see if certain compounds in the breath can reliably signal the presence of these cancers. The goal is to create a simple, accurate screening tool that could lead to earlier diagnosis and better survival rates.
