Blow to know: new breath test aims to spot COVID and flu fast
NCT ID NCT07348380
Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive way to diagnose respiratory infections like COVID-19 and influenza. Researchers will analyze chemicals in the breath of 1,665 people—some with symptoms and some healthy—using a special machine. The goal is to see if this 'breath test' can accurately and quickly tell if someone has an infection and what might be causing it, offering an alternative to nasal swab tests.
