Blow to know: new breath test could diagnose COVID and flu in seconds

NCT ID NCT07348380

Summary

This study aims to see if a machine can detect respiratory infections like COVID-19 and influenza by analyzing chemicals in a person's exhaled breath. Researchers will enroll about 1,665 adults, including people with symptoms and healthy volunteers, to test the device. The goal is to create a fast, non-invasive alternative to current nasal swab tests.
